Marv started Marvsweather as a hobby to bring the latest weather forecasts to boaters after he struggled to get accurate and reliable info for his own needs while traveling on his boat on the east coast and in the Bahamas. Marv was a licensed Captain with the United States Coast Guard, was a retired Building Contractor from Eau Claire Wisconsin and was involved with boating all his life.
In 2021 Marv began working with Pierre Narath to manage the site and provide more accurate and timely forecasts and weather alerts for boaters. Pierre brings 30 years experience in the tech industry and is also an avid boater and holds a USCG 100T License. Unfortunately Marv was struggling with an illness and passed away in 2022 at which time Pierre took over the site and has been working hard to get the latest and greatest weather data and make it available to Marvsweather subscribers.
